Last Friday’s #superjelly was a super-sized version of the official Birmingham #jelly usually held monthly at Urban Coffee Company’s Jewellery Quarter Coffee Emporium.
Coffee Birmingham teamed up with official Birmingham #jelly organiser Rickie Josen and our sponsors, Enterprise Nation to run the #superjelly at three venues across the city – Urban Coffee Company in the Jewellery Quarter (as per usual) but also Six Eight Kafe in the city centre and Cafe Ezra at Hotel LaTour in Eastside.
It was a fantastic day with existing jellyheads turning up on mass to co-work, drink coffee, chat and talk not only with other well known jellyheads but also to welcome and introduce new jellyheads. We were delighted to see a lot of new faces to #jelly. Our new jellyheads included a Jelly organiser from Shopshire, leading voice actor, two hairdressers, an Occupational Psychologist and a Birmingham based printing company.
What is always refreshing to see is how new jellyheads very quickly atune to the opportunities that Jelly provides, whether it is to chat, to exchange views or two get some advice. For example, we introduced hairdressers @Scott1One and @dkny_n to twitter and to Enterprise Nation’s #watercoolermoment.
The twittersphere was definitely full of activity relating to #superjelly and quite a few people went on a #jellycrawl to all three venues on the day.
All the coffee shop locations responded by putting on their own deals exclusively for #jellyheads and there was lots of glorious cake and a few savouries courtesy of our supporter, the awesome @cocomelibakery.
We are very grateful to Enterprise Nation for sponsoring us and this event and to @cybrum, @rickiewrites and @tickitoff for being our #jelly guides.
